a good saturday.

Saturday is usually a day that I do not look forward to. Odd...you might think. But lately Casey has been playing basketball all morning with his boyfriends and I am stuck at home with the options to either CLEAN or to STUDY. However, this saturday was different. My other mother, Christy, invited me to see these ice castles in Midway. Check them out here. They were like nothing I have ever seen. It was a great little saturday field trip. Kelly and her friend came with us too but I don't have any pictures cause my camera died after I took about four...I was kinda disappointed.

Same day.......later on. I WENT TO MY FIRST JAZZZZZZ GAME!!! I have been begging Casey to show me the wonderful things of Utah...one of them being the Jazz...so we finally took a trip up to Salt Lake to experience the real thing. Our friends Mercedes and Aaron joined in on the fun.

the kid fans were super supportive.

one year !

In the spirit of celebrating our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY we took a trip to the LA with our good friends Scott and Oakley.

of course......a jumping picture is always necessary.

Next we headed up to good ole Ventura, California. Enjoyed the surf, the sun and some great little bike rides.

One night we drove up the coast to Santa Barbara and took a walk along State St. Had dinner at a great little Italian place. I seriously would not mind living in Santa Barbara someday. It is beautiful.

attempting another jumping picture...the photographer failed.

goodbye California.......until we meet again.

WANTED: sunshine

Today I finally had some spring nostalgia. It actually got up to the high 40's today and I was reminded what it felt like to actually "feel" the warmth of the sun. This is the time of year in Utah when it hits 50 degrees people start to put their sandals on and leave their jackets at home. Anyways, because of this warm weather I had a great idea to lay out in my backyard. Not in my swimsuit but with a lounge chair, blankets, and a good book. That is how desperate I am just to feel the warmth of the sun soaking into my face ! I need it !!!! Soo... while I was in my "dreaming of bikini's" mood, I decided to make a wish list.

walking in a winter wonderland.

our first tree!!

temple square date night. Yes, my hair is brown now.

at the tree lot.

We celebrated with my Mom's side the Sunday before Christmas. Casey wasn't there yet.

The annual Anderson Christmas Party. This is with my Grandpa and his sibling's families. SO we have it at the church because there are so many people.
and of course we get to sit on Santa (Craig Ballard's) lap.

Roscoes: a yearly tradition. then we go see Christmas lights in Pasadena.

of course we needed a jumping picture.

The Americana. Love that place.

Grandma took us to Alvin and the Chimpmunks. Great movie..esp for the little ones.
Casey was shocked I got him Brian Regan tickets.
Ventura Bike Ride !!

california here we come.

mercedes I am copying your blog because when I saw it I got really excited about all the things we are going to do over the break. Here are the things I am getting antsy for

1. see my FAMILY. I have not seen Chad or Mac since August

2. go SURFING... malibu is my favorite

3. go to VENTURA

4. Americana. If you have ever been to the Grove in LA this was designed by the same guy. So amazing. Their movie theater is so nice. and they have a fountain with a water show!

5. Blue Fish. they have the best sushi! i crave it.

6. Old Town, Pasadena. I never truly appreciated California till I realized Utah lacks places like this one (I am not a Utah hater at all, just pointing this out). We recently went to DC and Georgetown reminded me of Old Town. We would seriously go here at least once a week in high school. I miss it.

7. Delivering Christmas gifts in the jeep w/ Becca. THis is a tradition we have been carrying out for years. We pack the jeep to the top with gifts for family friends and on Christmas eve we drop them off blasting Christmas music.
