A Year of Movies: 2012

For those of who know me know that I love movies. I'm kind of obsessed. I watch trailers for fun when I am bored. I get Entertainment Weekly every Friday and I read it cover to cover. I like to have parties for the Golden Globes and most importantly THE OSCARS. So this post is just a highlight of the movies that are going to come out this year....the most anticipated films.

2011: A Year Review

I know everyone does this these days but I still decided to be a copy-cat. So here it is...our year in review!

JANUARY:
Diamond Rio concert in Vegas with the Olenik's and Trumans.
FEBRUARY:
Ash goes home to visit family as an early birthday present.

MARCH:
My birthday parrrtay

APRIL:
Easter egg hunt with the Kirklands

MAY:
The Big Island with my parents!

JUNE:
Frequent visits to our favorite shaved ice at the Scera Park.

JULY:
Island Park, ID for the 4th.

AUGUST:
Anderson Cousin Mexico Cruise!
and I graduated from nursing school!

SEPTEMBER:
my family comes to visit and go to BYU games.

OCTOBER:
Surf sesh with my Dad

NOVEMBER:
Thanksgiving in CA with Grandma Alma Kirkland!
DECEMBER:
Christmas with the Kirklands

As you can see it has been a great 2011 for us. We are so grateful that we are both able to work full-time and still have opportunities to go on little adventures. We are grateful to have family living so close by and that my family is willing to visit so often. We hope 2012 will be just as good!!

Oats in a jar



So goood!!! Kim Ballard gave me this idea and I had to try it. It is so easy....So whenever you have a peanut butter jar that you are done with. You just add these simple ingredients:
-3/4 cup of Oats (i just fill the jar up 3/4th way)
-pinch of cinnamon
-1/2 tsp vanilla
-2 packets of splenda
-fill the rest up with MILK ( i used fat-free, but you can do Soy or Almond)
Then you just put it in the fridge overnight and let them soak. The next morning you just grab and go! The more left over peanut butter in the jar the better.
