Jimmy's Baby Blessing and Easter in Utah!

**Sorry in advance for the picture overload**

I'm combining all of these things into one post! The week before we moved we went to Utah for Easter weekend. It was probably not the most relaxing trip but we had lots of fun hanging out with family and friends that we miss here in California!

Chase had cousin time everyday. We went to the zoo one day (it was crazy!) and had family gatherings almost every day. I went to Swig and Sodaliscous way too many times! and we ate all of the food that we miss! I even went to Xtend Barre twice :)

On Saturday we went to brunch and an egg hunt at Riverside Country Club with Casey's family. Chase loved collecting eggs and seeing the Easter Bunny! They had a 2-4 year old section of the egg hung so he had friendly competition.

On Sunday we had a breakfast with my mom's family and watched General Conference. Than later that night we had dinner with Casey's family and blessed Jimmy at Casey's brother's house. It was so special to bless him on Easter Sunday and in such an intimate setting with just close family and friends.

I remember when I first had Chase I was so worried that I wouldn't love him enough. Now that I have two little nuggets I can't imagine loving anything more than I love them.  Jimmy has definitely brought some peace into my crazy busy life. He is the calm that I need. He has such a special unique little spirit about him and I'm so glad he is in our family !

My 27th Birthday Weekend!

The older I get the more I realize how normal a birthday can be. Especially if it falls on a Monday. Which is the reason we celebrated the weekend before!
We headed up to La Canada Thursday night. Casey worked from my parents on Friday and I was able to go to the mart (best samples sales in LA) in the morning with my mom and sister. I scored! I haven't really shopped since having Jimmy so it was nice to get some new clothes!

Friday night we went to dinner in Old Town Pasadena and got massages just the two of us. It was perfect. Then on Saturday morning we headed out to Malibu, had brunch on the pier then went surfing! I forgot how much I missed that wave. Not the crowds though. That night we had a babysitter so my parents took us all out to Taylor's Steakhouse. Oh how I love a good steak.

Sunday I woke up feeling really crummy. I came down with a flu bug and ended up staying home from church with Jimmy. We had a little family dinner and my best friend Sara and her husband came too! Then on Monday was my actual birthday. I was even more sick....that was fun. Casey got me Banzai bowl for breakfast and we had a bonfire at Sano that night with friends!

Overall it was a great weekend full of surfing, good food and lots of family and friend time!

I can't believe it's been a month since I last posted on here! oops...
It has been pretty hectic lately so this blog has been the last thing on my mind.

The day before my birthday we came home to our rental house late at night to all the wood floors on the first floor ripped up, all of our furniture wrapped in plastic and moved to the front door and about 10 fans and a dehumidifier running. That was fun. All for a little water leak under the house. So.....We  left a little early on our trip to Utah since we couldn't really live in our house. I did laundry and packed quickly and we were on the road the next day.

We talked with our landlord and decided to just move right when we came back to Utah because the house would have to get all new floors and plumbing. Luckily we were already planning on moving at the end of April and the house we moved to was already vacant.

So the whole time in Utah I was kind of just stressing about moving since I had packed NOTHING. and I wanted to go through all of our stuff and get rid of things prior to packing. Now that wouldn't be an option.

We drove home from Utah Wednesday all day. Packed Thursday and moved Friday and Saturday. It was INSANE. Luckily Casey's parents drove down to help us. Lifesavers. and my mom, dad and sister helped as well. Seriously we wouldn't have been able to do it without them!

So now we are in the new house and it is awesome! I love it so much more than the previous one. There is so much natural light everywhere! plus we have a community pool and hot tub! amazing!

We are pretty much moved in and organized at this point. We still need to do some decorating/hanging. So when I have more free time I will catch up on more posts from this last month
